The JuJu Chair
09.28.09
We used to have a red upholstered chair and ottoman in our office. It was incredibly ugly. However, it moved with us wherever we went and had multiple homes around the office. It was the JuJu chair, and it had indescribable creative power…at least for me.
A Day in the Life Part 2: Print Production
04.17.09

As an intern, I am now learning the many joys of print production. I am told that the more often I partake in this tedious activity, the more I will learn to appreciate it. However part of me believes this is a flat out lie, simply fabricated to keep me compliant.
Print production, while important, is a gauntlet of physical and psychological torture. Any warm fuzzy feelings you might have left for your design are about to die a slow painful death, as it is meticulously picked apart and refined. In order to tweak a design to production perfection you must scrutinize every minor detail. Such scrutinizing leads to tired eyes, headaches, and that wonderful sick-to-your-stomach feeling (the one you get when you think about the extra costs you might incur if you don’t catch a mistake in the file).
A Day in the Life of a TBG Intern
02.18.09
Here at TBG we love our coffee. Who doesn’t really? (Even Dee loves it, despite her futile attempts to get us to switch to herbal tea) So every morning I make a fresh pot that fills the office with a wonderful aroma and energizes the office. But now a month into my internship, everyone has grown accustomed to a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. So secretly I fear what might happen if that fresh pot isn’t there waiting, I mean what if I forget to make it one morning, or worse, we run out of coffee altogether!
